Prediabetes
Think “Preventdiabetes”
You can change the trajectory of your prediabetes diagnosis.
Here’s an unbelievable statistic published in the 2022 National Diabetes Statistics Report - 38% of U.S. adults (people aged 18 years or older) have prediabetes. That is 96 million people! Even more shocking is that 48.8% of people aged 65 years or older has prediabetes.
Is your doctor is screening you for prediabetes regularly? If you’re not sure, please ask them! You want to know sooner rather than later if your sugar levels are higher than normal. It will give you more time to steer clear of developing diabetes.
Prediabetes has a silver lining
The silver lining of a prediabetes diagnosis is that you don’t have diabetes and that’s excellent news! If you are willing to improve how you eat, add in some physical activity, and modify other key lifestyle factors, you can lower your risk for developing type 2 diabetes. Now is the time.
